Revamping Drik Archive

Drik have a unique and growing collection of images from all over the world, spanning over 200,000 images in total: ranging from historical photographs of the 1971 war of liberation in Bangladesh to early 20th-century glass plates, to large format architectural photographs and high-resolution digital images. As the Team Leader of Drik's Archive Department, it is a highly significant achievement that from Drik's inception, the archive—where Drik's materials were preserved—has been relocated to a new space in the Drikpath building, reorganized, migrated, and significantly improved from its previous systematic setup, bringing it into a digital asset management system. Over the past four years, 24 interns and research team members have worked with me at various times to make this archive relevant for the times.
