Research on Dr Zafrullah

Zafrullah Chowdhury (27 December 1941 – 11 April 2023) was a Bangladeshi public health activist.He was the founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, a rural healthcare organisation. He was known more for his work in formulating the Bangladesh National Drug Policy in 1982. After his death, Drik initiated a research project about him. Efforts were undertaken to gather and preserve all his archival visual materials—scattered across various parts of Bangladesh from 1971 to 2024—in one place. For this purpose, on-site digitization of his content from various locations, collection of interviews, and their systematic preservation were carried out in phases.
